Community

Dr. Jayne also believes in giving back to his community. He is an active member of the Emerald City Rotary Club of Seattle, and he is a board member of Computers for the World, a program founded by the club that gives Seattle students hands-on technology experience through rebuilding donated and surplus computers then traveling to underdeveloped countries to set up computer labs. Next year, the Computers for the World students will journey to Gambia.

Other volunteer and service activities include serving on the board for Community for Youth, a non-profit group offering one-to-one mentoring programs for high school students who are at risk of academic and social failure; providing in-kind dental care to participants in the Fare Start job program for homeless people; and donating dental service to the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Give Back A Smile program, which provides cosmetic care to victims of domestic violence.
